Hi, this is KIKO, I stayed at Narita Tobu Hotel Airport with 2 small children the day before our flight from Narita Airport. The room was spacious and we were able to relax and enjoy a pleasant evening. I will introduce about this hotel and write about how we spent time.
Narita Tobu Hotel Airport Overview
This is the closest hotel to Narita Airport, with a shuttle bus running every 30 minutes. We used the shuttle to Terminal 2, and it took just about 5 minutes to get there—super convenient! Although it’s an older hotel, it’s been renovated, so the interiors are clean and well-maintained.
- A room with four beds ensures that your kids won’t fall off the bed!
- A convenience store and Matsumoto Kiyoshi (a drugstore) are within the hotel, so you won’t forget any last-minute purchases before departing.
- You can watch planes take off and land through the large windows.

Family-Friendly Features
Room with Four Beds
When booking for four people, you can choose a room with four beds lined up together. This is a big plus if you have a toddler who tends to move around in their sleep; you don’t have to worry about them falling off the bed since the beds are attached to the wall.
Bathtub Available & Comfortable Shower
This feature is not just for families, but it’s worth mentioning that the showerhead can switch to a mist shower, which my husband found to be incredibly relaxing. The room also has a bathtub, which was perfect for giving our 1-year-old a bath.
We’re even considering buying the mist showerhead used in this hotel!
Convenience Store and Matsumoto Kiyoshi in the Hotel
Having a convenience store and drugstore inside the hotel is a great perk for everyone, not just families. There’s also a restaurant in the hotel, though the dinner buffet costs around ¥8,000, and à la carte options start at ¥2,000, which is a bit pricey. Since we were tired from traveling with kids and all our luggage, we opted to buy food from the convenience store and enjoy a relaxed meal in our room.
Despite its small size, Matsumoto Kiyoshi had a good selection of cosmetics and other products. Given that many foreign airline crew members stay here, I assume the store is set up for quick and convenient shopping for short-stay guests. It was also super convenient for us to grab last-minute items before our flight.
View of Planes Taking Off and Landing
Though it was rainy and visibility was poor on the day we stayed, we still had a good view of the planes taking off from Narita Airport’s Terminal 2, which is right nearby. The large windows allowed us to watch the planes as we were putting our child to sleep.
Here’s a photo from the evening: If it had been clear, the view of the planes would have been fantastic… I found a delicious beer at the convenience store right before we left.
Shuttle Bus to Narita Airport
The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to the airport, with most buses running twice per hour and three times per hour in the evening. It took about 5 minutes to reach Terminal 2—a breeze! If you’re heading to Terminal 1, it takes about 10 minutes via Terminal 2, which is still very close.

The night before leaving Japan, the journey to the hotel with all our luggage and children was quite exhausting, but once we arrived, we were able to relax and enjoy a pleasant evening. If we ever need to stay near Narita again, I’d definitely consider staying here.
